The Feminist International Network on State Architecture (FINSA) brings together an international network of scholars interested in how state architectures structures the allocation of power among governance levels. The Network focuses on relations between women, feminist and gender and: unitary/federal states; devolving governance bodies and political processes in compound nation-states (such as the U.K.); treaty-based multi-level governance systems (such as the EU) and inter/ and transnational institutions.

Members of the network are working on case studies and cross-national comparisons concerning gender and state architectures in Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Germany, India, the Netherlands, Scotland, Spain, and the USA.
